New York City and the Hudson River Valley

Start your adventure with a New York City tour featuring Manhattan’s most famous sights, such as Lincoln Center, Broadway, Chinatown, Times Square, Little Italy, Rockefeller Center and more. Take the ferry and visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Travel to the top of the Empire State Building for incredible views of the New York City skyline. You’ll have lunch at the famous Tavern on the Green, tour the United Nations and take in a Broadway show. From New York City we will journey through the scenic Hudson River Valley, visiting Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown—the former home of Washington Irving. Visit the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for a guided tour about this historic and prestigious college. Travel through the Catskills with stops in the artist colony of Woodstock and the Ashokan Reservoir before arriving in Kingston for a scenic Hudson River Cruise aboard the M.S. Rip Van Winkle. Visit the FDR National Historic Site, and tour the estate. Enjoy a special farewell dinner at the Culinary Institute of New York.

Detailed Itinerary
Day One—Arrive New York City
Arrive in New York City. Meet your travel director and transfer to your hotel in Manhattan. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)

Day Two—New York City
Start the day with a New York City tour featuring Manhattan’s most famous sights, such as Lincoln Center, Broadway, Chinatown, Times Square, Little Italy, Rockefeller Center and more. Later head for Battery Park to board the ferry and visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Explore the “Big Apple” on your own this evening. (B)
Day Three—New York City/Broadway
This morning travel to the top of the Empire State Building for incredible views of the New York City skyline. Have lunch at the famous Tavern on the Green Restaurant in Central Park. After lunch, tour the United Nations Headquarters. This evening it’s off to Broadway for a show. (B, L)
Day Four—Tarrytown/Kykuit/West Point
Depart New York City and travel through the scenic Hudson River Valley. Visit Tarrytown for a tour of Kykuit, the former mansion of Nelson Rockefeller. This afternoon visit the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for a guided tour including a brief film about this historic and prestigious college. Continue into the Catskills and check into your hotel for a three night stay. (B)

Day Five—New Paltz/Hyde Park
This morning travel to New Paltz, home to Huguenot Street, the oldest street in America including original architecture. Enjoy a winery tour and tasting before heading to Hyde Park for a visit to the FDR National Historic Site. Enjoy a tour of the well preserved estate featuring the home, graves of President and Mrs. Roosevelt, a museum and library. You will also tour one of the famous Vanderbilt family mansions. This evening experience a farewell dinner at the Culinary Institute of New York, where some of the world’s premier chefs have been trained. (B, D)
Day Six—Catskill Mountains/Woodstock/Hudson River Cruise
This morning travel through the Catskills and enjoy beautiful views along one of the most scenic highways in America. Stop in the artist colony of Woodstock and the Ashokan Reservoir before arriving in Kingston. Later enjoy a scenic Hudson River Cruise aboard the M.S. Rip Van Winkle. (B, D)
Day Seven—New York/Home
This morning travel to New York City for your flight home. (B)

Tour Cost
- $1,999 per person, double occupancy
Deposit/Final Payment: A $300 per person deposit is required to confirm your reservation; final payment is due to Premier World Tours 75 days prior to departure. Credit cards are accepted. Deposit checks should be payable to Premier World Tours Trust. Completed reservation form and deposit should be sent to aggieAdventures Travel Program, Cal Aggie Alumni Association, University of California, One Shields Avenue, Davis, CA 95616-8517.
Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations for all or any part of the trip will not be effective until they are received in writing in the offices of Gohagan & Company. Should you have to cancel, the following terms will apply: reservations are fully refundable from the time of booking up to and including 120 days prior to departure; cancellations received from 75 through 119 days prior to departure are subject to a $30 per person cancellation fee; from 30 through 74 days prior to departure 25% of the total price will be charged; from 15 through 29 days prior to departure 50% of the total price will be charged; and cancellations received 14 days or less prior to departure, no-shows or early returns from the trip will result in forfeiture of 100% of the total price.
