In 1918, around 100 University Farm alumni and students congregated on Picnic Day to stay in touch with each other and the campus. They organized what was later to become the CAL AGGIE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION(CAAA). Today, the alumni association has grown to more than 28,000 dues-paying members who take pride in UC Davis and, like the pioneers of 1918, want to maintain their ties with the university.

The alumni association's mission is to advance the interest and promote the welfare of the university and its alumni. Alumni involvement is essential to the success of alumni association programs which help UC Davis remain one of the world's finest public universities.
