What’s Take an Aggie to Lunch?

Take an Aggie to Lunch, created in 1999, is a program that pairs alumni and students based on mutual career interests. Alumni have a chance to mentor a student who may be interested in their major or career field. Students who are Collegiate Members get an inside look at their chosen field or sometimes have a chance to explore a field they hadn’t yet considered.

Take an Aggie to Lunch is a great way for students to meet alumni from all careers and walks of life. It’s the perfect opportunity to a continuing mentorship or future employment opportunities. Participating can expand students’ views on what jobs are available and what they entail.

How this works:

Alumni need not be members of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association to participate.
Students must be Collegiate Members to participate.
Students contact alumni to set the date for the meal.
Lunches take place during February.
Preparing for the Lunch (coming soon)
Students send alumni a thank-you note.
After the lunch, please let us know how it all went.
